เซลล์ค่อนข้างยาว รูปร่างคล้ายกรวย 2 อันประกบกัน ส่วนบนสุดและล่างสุดของเซลล์แหลม เอพิทีคารูปกรวยคว่ำ มี anterior intercalary plates 2 แผ่น ซึ่งมีรูปร่างแบบ hexa-apical plates (1') มีรูปร่างแบบ ortho- ไฮโพทีคารูปร่างคล้ายกรวยหงาย โดยมีปลายล่างสุดค่อนข้างแหลม ซิงกูลัมอยู่บริเวณกลางเซลล์ มีลักษณะเว้าและส่วนต้นอยู่สูงกว่าส่วนปลายเล็กน้อย ประมาณ 1-1.5 เท่า ของความกว้างของซิงกูลัม และปลายทั้งสองอยู่เยื้องกัน ผิวของเพลทมีลายเป็นร่างแห หรือค่อนข้างเรียบ
